This agreement allows VT India to lease 7,000 square feet of research and 3,000 square feet of office/conference space at highly subsidized rates, with a provision to lease up to an additional 20,000 square feet space.
As part of its strategic collaboration with Dr. MGR-DU, Virginia Tech India has access to over 15,000 square feet of dedicated space, provided on a non-exclusive basis and equipped with global video-conferencing capabilities to support the delivery of non-credit executive and professional education programs. Additionally, Virginia Tech India has set up advanced laboratory infrastructure and research equipment at this facility to drive research in select focus areas.
The newly established Research and Learning Centre at the IIT Madras Research Park marks Virginia Tech’s second centre in India. This partnership paves the way for collaborative research across a range of platforms, reinforcing the university’s commitment to working with leading institutions worldwide to foster innovation, academic excellence, and impactful research.
