Taking the glorious vision of imparting top-notch education a step forward, NMIMS has signed up with Virginia Tech., the USA based public research university on 18th February, 2019 in Mumbai. This collaboration is for M. Tech. Data Science program, an offering which is specifically designed keeping in mind the evolving trends pertaining to the field of data.
Dr. Rajan Saxena (Vice Chancellor, NMIMS) elaborated on the uniqueness of the program as it gives bright young minds a chance to explore knowledge and techniques drawn from many fields and also opens up the doors for research.
Dr. Tarun Sen (Managing Director, Postgraduate Program in Business Analytics, Outreach and International Affairs, Virginia Tech.) emphasized that it was their intention to work with a like-minded partner in India with a strong multi-dimensional approach and NMIMS University makes for a perfect collaboration.
“21st Century is going to witness a revolution which will be powered by data and to solve the complex challenges of tomorrow we need the best minds to come together, today” said Dr. Guru Ghosh (Vice President for Outreach and International Affairs, Virginia Tech.). He also shared that it was their prime intention at Virginia Tech. University to make education accessible to vast sections of society, something which NMIMS strongly believes since their inception.
